Get prepared for Notes/Domino V14 Early Access Code Drop 1

By Daniel Nashed | 5/26/23 9:32 AM | Business - Events / People | Added by Oliver Busse

You can get hands on experience with Notes/Domino V14 end of this month. Here are some tips to get prepared. All of the software is only intended for non-production use! So you should prepare a VM to get started. But you should really take a look and have a try. Specially for business partners this is a call for action to test their applications with the updated back-end components. As announced earlier Notes/Domino moved to up to date compilers and a newer Java version. Also the client is 64bit only. I hope to see many of you in the EAP forum or at DNUG conference face to face.

My two cents about HCL

It has been a surprise for us that HCL is taking over Notes/Domino and most other collaboration products completely from IBM. The deal is not yet effective (hopefully beginning of June) and it should be "business as usual" until then. But we already see what we can expect from HCL taking over the complete portfolio including product strategy, sales and customer relationship.

Just back from #engageug. The conference was the best conference I have been for a long time! Beside the great venue on the cruise ship the HCL sessions technical session and specially the round tables have been a big positive surprise for me.

Today I had the pleasure to present with Dave Kern about Domino internet security. Now that the presentation is public, I can speak about all the details that we presented. See the slides for all details. We covered what is already available in 9.0.1 FP3 and what is coming after FP3 quite soon. In the session demo we had a the SSL Test website showing a A- up to A+ rating depending on the configuration.
