By Bill Malchisky | 9/21/16 1:30 AM | Community - Events / People | Added by John Oldenburger

Below is the completion of my interview with Barry Rosen, IBM Offering Manager for ICS. Enjoy! As indicated in the slide yesterday, the entire feature set of 9.0.2 will not be released into one Feature Pack (FP), but over four. Yes, the next four FPs will introduce what 9.0.2 would have offered.

A Conversation with Barry Rosen, at IBM: Part I

By Bill Malchisky | 9/20/16 1:24 AM | Community - Events / People | Added by John Oldenburger

During ICON UK 2016 in London, I took some time to talk with the IBM Offering Manager for ICS covering IBM Notes, Domino, Verse on Premises, and Sametime, Barry Rosen. Our initial Q&A turned into about a 30 minute dialogue, which I found quite informative. With his permission, I am posting the more interesting parts of our conversation.

Thanks, David Leedy!

It seems very fitting that part way through a blog post about community, Marky Roden released his “Not NotesIn9” celebration of David Leedy. It’s been a pleasure to know Dave and call him a friend for so long. So, somewhat belatedly, here’s my video. Below it there’s a picture of Dave, if you don’t know him (sorry, couldn’t resist!).

The Importance of Community

By Paul Withers | 9/19/16 4:17 PM | Community - Events / People | Added by Oliver Busse

Back in April, after Engage and an XPages on Bluemix seminar at IBM Ireland I wrote a piece called “The Future of (Domino) App Dev in a Single Word”. That word was community, and the feeling was driven by public and private initiatives around XPages and XPages development. This seems a profoundly apposite moment to revisit that sentiment.

2016 OpenNTF Board Elections

By Patrick Kwintensson | 9/19/16 12:55 PM | Community - Events / People | Added by Oliver Busse

I have registered myself as nominee for the position of Contributor Director for the OpenNTF board. There are 3 positions for 4 candidates so the changes are high I would say. I have found OpenNTF always the main spot to learn and be informed about ICS solutions so I hope to learn more via this membership and share it with others!

And the winner is...... HR Assistant - elstar IT

By Frank van der Linden | 9/19/16 12:04 PM | Community - Events / People | Added by Oliver Busse

Last Friday during the closing session of Icon UK in London Inhi Suh announced, with a little help of Alan Hamilton, the results of the ICS Developer competition 2016. To my big surprise our submission, HR Assistant was selected as winner. Frédéric, my partner in crime in this competition was also very surprised a few timezones to the east from us.

ICONUK and the State of Domino Web Development

By Sean Cull | 9/16/16 6:58 PM | Community - Events / People | Added by Oliver Busse

I am just back from a very impressive ICONUK. I can honestly say that it was the best LUG that I have been to. The best part for me was the informal discussions within the community. It is a time of change and the community discussions were real, interesting and honest.

Just stunned….

I don’t know the who, the what, or the why. All I know is this happened today at IconUK in London England about 3,500 miles away from where I film my silly little screencast.

MWLug 2016 Round-Up

By Mark Myers | 8/27/16 10:29 AM | Community - Events / People | Added by Oliver Busse

So I’m back from my first mwlug jetlagged to hell and shattered, trying to answer the question that LDC Via always does after a paid conference “was it worth it”
