What We Learned at MWLUG 2017

Richard Moy and team put together another great User Group event in Alexandria, VA last week. Its an event that falls half-way between the annual event once known as LotusSphere. This year’s event set a new attendance record, including a large contingent of IBMers allowing all to get the latest information and news for all things Collaboration (ICS). The following are the key take aways that I noticed as a former Notes developer still passionate about finding future paths for Notes data.

Attention IBM Customers and BPs, Be Heard! New IBM Notes/Domino Application Survey

After the success of the first IBM survey announced at our IBM Engage session in May (see link to post)---which helped to re-prioritize new capabilities like Docker---Barry Rosen announced a new survey at MWLUG. I completed it and am pleased with this survey's focus on APIs, app modernization, along with creating a new feeling that IBM is serious about Domino as an application development platform.

An Introduction to Docker from MWLUG 2017

Last week I attended and presented at MWLUG in Alexandria, VA. This was my third MWLUG event and the biggest so far. Lots of great and varied content, I even went to a couple of developer sessions, thanks to Richard Moy and the rest of the MWLUG team for putting on another great show.
